WooCommerce or Shopify?

We work with both, and we’ll tell you honestly which one fits.

  • WooCommerce runs inside WordPress. You own the whole store, there’s no monthly platform fee, and it handles big catalogs well. It needs good hosting and regular updates, which our Store Hosting covers.
  • Shopify is a hosted platform you pay monthly. It’s simple to run day to day, and Shopify handles the hosting and updates. You pay Shopify’s plan and you work within its system.

Not sure? Tell us how many products you have, how you ship and whether you sell in person too. We’ll recommend one in your quote.

What we set up for you.

  • Checkout with Stripe: cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported. PayPal can be added.
  • Shipping: your rates, zones and local pickup if you offer it.
  • Sales tax: Virginia sales tax set up, plus any other states you tell us you need to collect for.
  • Products: loaded from your spreadsheet and photos, with clean names, prices and categories.
  • Search and filters so shoppers find the right item quickly.
  • Order emails that look like your business, not a template.
  • Google basics: unique titles and descriptions, product markup and a sitemap.

Proof: two client stores.

All 4 Carts: a golf cart parts store with more than 3,600 Club Car, EZGO and Yamaha parts. We moved the store to a new host and cleaned it up: removed supplier names and leftover eBay listing text from 51 products, moved 7 products with no price to draft, and built a 1,444-rule redirect map so old product and category links land on the right new page. Checkout runs on Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link) and PayPal, with US shipping and Virginia sales tax.

Cheeks Golf: a dealer-only WooCommerce site for Cheeks Golf Cart Parts, which makes and wholesales golf cart parts for Club Car, EZGO and Yamaha. Dealers apply through a Become a Dealer registration before they can buy.

How a store build works.

  1. Free quote. Tell us what you sell, how many products and how you ship.
  2. Written quote with the platform, price and timeline. Work starts with a 50% deposit.
  3. You send products in a spreadsheet with photos. We clean them up and load them.
  4. We build and test checkout, shipping and tax with test orders.
  5. You review the store on a private preview link and place a test order yourself. New store builds include 2 rounds of revisions (a round is one list of changes), and a Store Redo includes 3. The other 50% is due at launch, after your review.
  6. Launch. Send changes and new products as requests in your client portal.

Online store questions.

Can I sell locally with pickup?

Yes. We can add local pickup at checkout, alongside shipping or instead of it.

Who owns the store?

You do. You own your finished store once it’s paid in full, and your domain stays in your name. A WooCommerce store runs on our hosting while you’re a hosting client, and if you leave, we give you a full copy. On Shopify, the account is yours.

What are the payment fees?

Stripe, PayPal and Shopify charge their own processing fees on each sale, paid to them, not to us. We’ll point you to their current rates before you choose.

How many products can I have?

Store Starter covers up to 25 products and Store Plus up to 100. Extra products are $3 each. Large catalogs are quoted in writing.

Can my store connect to Amazon, eBay or Walmart?

It can, depending on the platform and the tools you use. Tell us where you sell now, and we’ll cover it in your quote.

Can I add products myself?

Yes. Both WooCommerce and Shopify let you add and edit products. We’ll show you how, or you can send us a request.

What happens after launch?

Small changes are $49 each for website-only clients, or covered by a monthly plan. Bigger work, like a new product line, gets a written quote. Store Hosting ($360/yr) keeps WooCommerce stores backed up, updated and monitored.
