Terms of Service.

Effective date: October 31, 2026 · Last updated: October 31, 2026

These terms cover the websites, online stores, hosting, monthly marketing plans and other services you buy from Magna WebWorks (“we”, “us”). We wrote them in plain English. Your written quote or order is part of this agreement. If your written quote says something different from this page, the quote wins. Questions? Email hello@magnawebworks.com.

1. Quotes and scope.

  • Every project starts with a written quote that lists what we’ll build or do, the price and the timeline.
  • Work starts once you accept the quote and pay any deposit it lists.
  • Anything not in the quote is extra. If you ask for more, we’ll send a written quote for the extra work before we do it. We never add charges without telling you first.
  • Published prices on our pricing page are what we charge today. We can change them for new work, but a quote you’ve accepted keeps its price.

2. Payments.

  • We send invoices by email, and you can pay them online by card or bank transfer.
  • Builds: 50% to start, 50% at launch. The deposit is due when you accept your quote. The other half is due at launch, and only after you’ve reviewed the finished site on a private preview link. Nothing goes live until you’ve seen it.
  • Hosting is billed yearly: $240/yr for a website, $360/yr for a WooCommerce store.
  • Monthly plans are billed monthly, in advance.
  • On-demand changes: $49 per small change (new hours, a photo swap, a text edit) for website-only clients or requests past your plan’s limit. Bigger changes get a written quote. You see the price and pay before the work starts.
  • Late payments: there are no late fees. If a payment is 15 days late, we’ll send a reminder and may pause new work until it’s paid. We only pause hosting if a payment is more than 30 days late, and only after a written warning at least 7 days ahead.
  • Referrals: when a business you send us pays its first invoice, you get one free month of the monthly plan you’re on, as a credit on your next bill. If you don’t have a monthly plan (hosting only or a one-time build), you get $100 off your next bill or project instead. Tell the business to put your name in the “Who sent you?” box on our quote form. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred.

3. Revisions and your review.

  • You review the site on a private preview link before it goes live. Nothing launches until you approve it.
  • A round of revisions is one list of changes. Send everything you want changed together, and we make it all in one pass.
  • New builds (Starter, Business, Business Plus, Store Starter and Store Plus) include 2 rounds before launch.
  • The Refresh, Redo & Move and Store Redo include 3 rounds before launch.
  • More rounds, or changes that go beyond the quote, are quoted in writing first.
  • After launch, small tweaks go through your monthly plan’s requests, or as $49 on-demand changes. Bigger changes get a written quote.
  • Delays on your side (content, photos, logins or approvals) can push back the timeline. If a project waits on you for more than 60 days, we’ll check in first. After that, we may close it out and bill for the work done so far, minus your deposit.

4. Monthly plans and requests.

  • Essentials includes 3 requests a month, Growth 10 a month, and Pro is Unlimited. Unlimited on Pro means fair use: send as many as you like, and we work through them one at a time, in order.
  • A request is one small change or task, like new hours, a photo swap, a text edit or a new special. Bigger jobs, like a new page outside your plan or a redesign, get a written quote.
  • Rollover: on Essentials and Growth, all your unused requests carry over into the next month. Carried-over requests expire at the end of that month if you don’t use them, and they never roll over a second time. Pro is Unlimited, so there’s nothing to roll over.
  • Changing plans mid-month: requests you’ve already used that month still count, and your monthly limit switches to the new plan’s amount. Carried-over requests stay with you when you move between Essentials and Growth, up to the new plan’s monthly amount, and they end if you move to Pro or a site-only plan.
  • Send requests through your client portal or by email.

5. Social posts and approvals.

  • The day before a scheduled post goes out, we email you a preview (on Friday for Saturday, Sunday and Monday posts) with Approve or Request Changes.
  • If we don’t hear back, we send one reminder. If there’s still no answer, we hold the post. Nothing goes out without your OK.
  • You can switch to auto-posting at any time by telling us in writing. You can switch back the same way.
  • You see any reply to a 1–3 star review before it’s posted.

6. Who owns what.

  • Your domain stays in your name. If we register it for you, we register it in your name.
  • Your Google Business Profile and social media accounts stay in your name. We’re added as managers or users.
  • Your content (your words, photos, logo and products) stays yours. You give us permission to use it to do your work.
  • Your website: you own your finished site once it’s paid in full. That includes its design, pages, words and images, and you keep your domain, Google profile and social accounts. If you ever leave, we give you a full copy. Premium plugins or themes licensed through our account stay under their makers’ licenses. If you move away, we’ll help you switch to your own license or a free alternative.
  • Our tools (the client portal, our templates, our internal tools and processes) stay ours.
  • Portfolio: we may show your finished site in our portfolio and link to it, unless you ask us not to.
  • Footer credit: with your OK, we add a small “Website by Magna WebWorks” link in your site’s footer. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

7. The launch bundle.

  • When you get a new site or a redo, you can take the launch bundle: Essentials $59/mo, Growth $149/mo or Pro $319/mo for your first 6 months (regularly $79, $199 and $399).
  • The launch bundle needs 6 months, then it’s month to month at the regular price.
  • Hosting: with a Business or bigger build, or a Redo & Move, on the launch bundle, your first year of hosting is included. After that, hosting renews at the regular yearly price. Other builds, and builds without the bundle, pay hosting from launch.
  • Leaving early: if you cancel the bundle before 6 months, you don’t owe the remaining months. You pay back only the discount you’ve received so far (the difference between the regular and bundle price for the months you used). If your first year of hosting was included, you pay $20 for each month of hosting you used ($30 for stores), and your hosting keeps running to the end of that month.

8. Cancelling a plan.

Plans are month to month. Cancel with 30 days’ notice. The launch bundle needs 6 months, then it’s month to month.

  • Tell us in writing, by email to hello@magnawebworks.com or through the portal.
  • No hosting refunds: hosting is paid yearly and isn’t refunded if you leave partway through the year. You still get a full backup of your site at no charge when you go.
  • Handover: when you leave, we give you a full backup of your site (files and database) at no charge, walk your new host or developer through it, and remove our access to your accounts when you ask. If you’d like us to do the move to another host for you, we’ll quote it in writing.
  • Your files: we keep your client files and requests for 90 days after you leave. Before we delete anything, we email you a heads-up with a download link to everything. See the Privacy Policy.

9. Hosting and care.

  • Hosting includes SSL, daily backups, updates, security scans, uptime monitoring and weekly health checks. If something breaks, we fix it.
  • We work hard to keep sites up, but no host can promise 100% uptime. Planned maintenance happens at quiet times when we can.
  • Hosting doesn’t include new pages, features or content changes. Those are requests or quoted work.
  • Sites we didn’t build: we host WordPress sites built by someone else after a free checkup. The checkup report covers your speed score, your backups, and anything broken or outdated. You keep the report either way, whether or not you host with us. If the checkup finds problems that need fixing before we can host the site safely, we’ll quote the fixes in writing first. You decide.

10. Outside services.

Your site may use outside services, like booking systems, payment processors, Shopify, Google, Facebook or email providers. Each has its own terms and fees, which you pay directly unless your quote says otherwise. We’re not responsible for their outages, price changes or rule changes, but we’ll help you work around problems.

11. Your part.

  • Send content, photos and logins we need in a reasonable time.
  • Only send us content you have the right to use: your own photos, or ones you’ve licensed.
  • Make sure your business information (prices, hours, claims) is accurate. We’ll publish what you approve.
  • Don’t use our services for anything illegal or misleading.

12. Results.

We do careful, honest work, and we follow Google’s and other platforms’ rules. We can’t promise specific rankings, traffic, reviews or sales, because search engines and platforms decide those, not us.

13. AI assistants.

We use AI assistants for routine work, like drafting posts, filing photos and checking that sites are up. A person on our team reviews the work before anything goes out. See our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.

14. Limits on liability.

We’re responsible for doing the work in the quote with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we’re not responsible for indirect losses, like lost profits.

15. Ending the agreement.

Either of us can end the agreement in writing, following the notice rules in section 8. We may end it sooner if payments are seriously late after a written warning, or if the services are used for something illegal. You pay for work done up to the end date.

16. Virginia law.

These terms follow the laws of Virginia. If we disagree, we’ll first try to sort it out by talking. If that doesn’t work, any case would be handled in the courts of Rockingham County or Harrisonburg, Virginia.

17. Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and email current clients about significant changes at least 30 days before they take effect. The terms in place when you accepted a quote apply to that project.
